Fifteen minute nose recontouring procedure, known as knifeless nose job or 15-minute nonsurgical nose job. Dr. Sheibani is one of the few select cosmetic surgeons in the United States performing a new procedure for minimally invasive non-surgical nose improvements. This procedure can be performed within one office visit and has been called "the 15-minute nonsurgical nose job." This procedure, which can be performed in the office, is a new alternative for those patients who wish to have a minimally invasive procedure to improve the appearance of their nose without going under the knife for a traditional rhinoplasty. Instead of using a scalpel to cut and perform the procedure, this procedure can be performed utilizing a special filler called Restylane. It is an excellent procedure for recontouring of the nose and minimal imperfections of this area for those patients wishing to improve the shape and appearance of their nose without undergoing surgery. Through a small needle, the appropriate amount of filler is injected into the right areas of the nose and this can create an improvement in the contour of the nose and improve the appearance of this vital part of the face. It can help improve or camouflage various bumps, bulges, indentations, mal-position or poor appearance of various regions of the nose and create a better symmetry. This is an ideal procedure for patients who have had previous rhinoplasties that have left minimal or mild imperfections and for patients who wish their almost perfect Rhinoplasty to still be improved. Also, patients who have a low nasal bridge or flattening of the nasal bridge could benefit from this type of a procedure, including Asians and African-American patients, as well as some post surgical patients. The results of this type of procedure can last up to 12 months and with a minimal touch-up after this time, the patient can maintain the excellent results.
In addition to Restylane other fillers, including Juviderm or other fillers available and approved by the FDA can be injected into the desired area of the nose to help improve the nasal appearance and improve the irregularities in this area. In addition to the nose; the facial lines and wrinkles and imperfections can also be improved using these fillers. The combination of improvements of various facial areas as a result of the use of these fillers can crate a tremendously rejuvenated and naturally beautiful improved appearance. The lines extending from the nose down to the angle of the mouth (also knows as Naso-Labial Folds); the lines extending from the angle of the mouth to the chin (also known as marionette lines), the frown lines, the lines around the eyes (crows feet) and the lines around the chin as well as the contour of the cheeks and chin can all be improved using this technique. When these fillers are injected under the skin they help improve the contour of the skin. There has been definitely a shift of interest among patients over the last several years from more invasive surgery to less invasive nonsurgical alternatives. This non-invasive procedure is the ideal procedure for purposes of improving the cosmetics of the nose without any surgical procedure or intervention. The down time is very minimal, usually within a few short hours and the patient can return to regular activities and social life almost immediately. There is minimal pain and discomfort and minimal to no risk. The procedure can cost as little as one-tenth of the cost of the traditional surgeries and the recovery is ten times faster.
There are thousands of typical surgical procedures being performed for the nose and other facial re-contouring (chin Implants, Cheek Implants and facial cosmetic surgeries) on a yearly basis and this alternative technique can offer an alternative for those patients who do not wish to undergo a traditional surgical procedure. The public needs to be careful to realize that not every patient is a candidate for these procedures and there are definitely those patients who need a structural change to their nose, refinement of the cartilage and the tissues of the nose, including the bone and the cartilage of the tip and septum. As any other cosmetic surgery, there are multiple factors that a patient needs to keep in mind and consider and the best decision is always made in cooperation and consultation of an experienced Rhinoplasty surgeon.
